Rick McCullough’s professional experience includes performing with the Netherlands Dance Theater, the Harkness Ballet of New York, and with the North Carolina Dance Theater. He served as Ballet Master for the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. He was also the Artistic Director of the North Carolina School of the Arts Summer Institute on Roanoke Island Dance Company. He is Professor Emeritus of Dance from Florida State University and visiting professor at the School of Dance at University of Utah.
Rick has taught at universities, festivals, conservatories, schools and professional companies nationwide and Europe.
He has received numerous choreographic grants, commissions, and fellowships. His work has been performed by the Washington Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, North Carolina Dance Theater, Ballet Pacifica, Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Columbia Classical Ballet, School of American Ballet, Chautauqua Institution, Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp, and the North Carolina School of the Arts, among others.
Rick is married to Susan McCullough since 1972, has two lovely daughters, and two adorable granddaughters.
